Last Days for Giving & Carving Fundraiser

Just 2 days left for the Giving and Carving Fundraiser. This is a sculpture fundraiser for several non-profit organizations that are very worthwhile. There are eleven sculptures in stock at my studio, the link to them is at Giving & Carving Sculpture.

Purchase one of these sculptures, with Visa, MC, or check, and 25% of the price will be donated to either: one of the three non-profits listed below or you can specify a charity that you would like the 25% to go to. Naturally the donations would be made in your name.

You do not have to be a current client, Facebook or LinkedIn member to participate. This fundraiser ends Dec. 31, 2009. Shipping is free within 75 mile radius of Martinsburg, WV.

If the sculpture pictures, at http://www.wsggallery.com/Sculpture-Pages/Caring-and-Giving-Sculpture.htm , do not convey well enough and you need to see the sculpture in person - call or email.

A mutually advantageous appointment to view the sculptures in person is easily done

Briggs Animal Adoption Center - http://www.baacs.org/ Briggs is an amazing place that houses unfortunate dogs and cats that are temporarily unwanted. It is a wonderful light–filled , no-kill shelter that keeps dogs and cats safe, fed & secure until a proper home is found.
Briggs has many wonderful dogs and cats that need a home. Helping them with their mission makes our world a better place

Berkeley County Humane Society - http://berkeley.wvhumane.com/ . Like with Briggs I believe in the BCHS mission to find homes for dogs who are denied the warmth and wonderfulness of living with humans.

C3: Colorectal Cancer Coalition http://fightcolorectalcancer.org/ . My father died of Colorectal cancer 18 years ago. It was an ugly way to go. I would like to support the great work that they are doing so no one else has to go through this.

Sculpture Fundraiser

Pictured at left is Oberon the scupture dog. He was a resident at the Berkeley County Humane Society - one of the NPO's funds are being raised for - before coming to live with us.

Recently, I have been thinking about combining two things: my Dad & how I miss him and also how lucky I am to be self-employed at something I enjoy.

My Dad died 18 years ago from Colorectal Cancer. It was an ugly sight to see. I would not wish that cancer or the opportunity to live with it on anyone.

Also have been thinking how fortunate I am to sculpt items that people want, and sculpt for a living. My wife, Jody, and my dogs, Ryan and Oberon, are constant sources of love and support. Ryan & Oberon came to us from shelters. How to support these non-profit organizations that have contributed to my ability to live and work?

I have picked three non-profits that are doing good work day in and day out that I believe in. They are: the Colorectal Cancer Coalition, Briggs Animal Adoption Center and the Berkeley County Humane Society. For these reasons I am hosting a sculpture fundraiser, the Giving & Carving Fundraiser, for them that runs from now til December 31, 2009.

The details are here at: http://www.wsggallery.com/Sculpture-Pages/Giving-and-Caring.htm . The sculptures for the fundraiser are here: http://www.wsggallery.com/Sculpture-Pages/Caring-and-Giving-Sculpture.htm .

Buying a sculpture will help these non-profits meet their goals of helping end cancer and being an ally in the human to animal matchmaker business.

Purchase a sculpture if you can to support a great cause(s). Pass on this information to friends and neighbors that might be interested.

Also take a look at our latest newsletter at: http://www.wsggallery.com/wsgnewsletter.htm for more news on Carl, Jody and some of their friends.

Thanks for your help. Have a great day and a wonderful weekend.
